Joe Rogan is an American comedian podcast host and martial arts color commentator. He started his career in 1988. He is also a former actor and television host.
Early Life
Joe Rogan’s real names are Joseph James Rogan. He was born on 11th August 1967 in Newark, New Jersey. He is of Italian and Irish descent. His parents divorced when he was five years old. He moved with his mother to California and then to Florida when he was eleven. He attended Newton South high school where he graduated in 1985. He hasn’t seen his father since he was seven.
Rogan Developed a keen interest in martial arts as a teenager. He says he was terrified to lose. This motivated him to learn the game. Martial arts gave him confidence and a different perspective about himself and what he was capable of. From martial arts, he had hope and believed he was never going to be a loser in his life. He learned karate and later started taekwondo.
At the age of nineteen, he won the US Open Championship taekwondo tournament as a lightweight. He was a Massachusetts full-contact state champion for four consecutive years and became a taekwondo instructor.

Career
Joe was a student at the University of Massachusetts at Boston but dropped on his third year due to boredom and disagreements with his professors.
He then worked a number of odd jobs including newspaper delivery and construction. As he puts it he could barely pay his bills.
He started his career as a stand-up comedian after his friends pressured him to face the challenge and take the stage. To his surprise, the rush seemed enjoyable to him. Eventually, he decided to dive into comedy and take it as a career after realizing he could actually make good money out of it. He moved around the country with it and started to make a few bucks from the events and shows that he attended.
With a hope to progress his career, Joe moved to Hollywood at the age of 27. He landed his first career as an actor a year later when Disney signed him as an actor for the TV show –handball.
His big break came through when he agreed to host a TV show Fear Factor. Fear Factor was a blockbuster hit. He worked for UFC the same time he hosted the Fear factor (UFC was at the verge of collapsing at the time and they could not afford to pay him) UFC grew from near bankruptcy to greater heights Joe became a bonafide beneficiary when the company grew from $2million to over $4.2Billion worth of profits.
